Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Sunday lunch garners significant praise; diners rave about its generous portions and quality. Many reviews highlight the gluten-free options, particularly the chicken burger, which is often listed as one of the best in town. The attentive and friendly staff enhance the experience, ensuring patrons feel welcomed and well-cared for. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between casual and vibrant, making it ideal for gatherings with friends or family. The cozy beer garden works wonders in sunny weather, making it a popular spot for afternoon relaxation. Great beer selection rounds out the experience, with something for every palate.

Most Disliked

Some guests express concern about noise levels, particularly from televisions during major sports events, which can detract from the comfortable atmosphere. A few patrons have mentioned occasional inconsistencies in food quality on busier days, which can happen in any lively pub setting. There's also mention of certain dishes being overly seasoned or not meeting guests’ personal preferences. The space, while cozy, can sometimes feel cramped during peak hours, especially on busy Sunday evenings when the pub reaches full capacity.

EDIT: Went again at yesterday, 3rd Oct, and it wasn't as good as when we went Aug 15th. I'd have preferred it with bacon & parmasan rather than sweetcorn and spice. One of the best gluten free chicken burgers of my life!! The gluten free onion rings were also incredible. I will forever dream of the day I will return for it again. I only marked it down on atmosphere because the TVs were very distracting.

It was recommended to me by a work colleague, l took my wife that night and was very surprised, it isn't the biggest pub l have been too but it's not the smallest. I booked a table for 7pm and on arrival was met by very friendly staff, sat down with a nice cold beer and checked out the menu. Great selection, my personal opinion 👌 when the food came we were not disappointed. The food was nicely presented, hot and veŕrry tasty, we when we had finished our meal we went and in the rear beer garden met some lovely people a great night. I have been again Saturday last with family and again great what more can l say, except we'll recommended.

The food was gorgeous, nice atmosphere and attentive staff would 100% recommend. The portion sizes were rather generous so I doubt anyone would be leaving still hungry either and you can always take your left overs home too 😊

The new owners have transformed the place from a pub to a fantastic place to eat and drink and enjoy a pint, the service is friendly and spot on, the food is excellent quality and great portions, and not expensive. We’ve eaten here around 8 times and would recommend.
